SulfrPack CIS™
SulfrPack CIS is anaerobic or aerobic, iron sponge-based treatment system that eliminates that sulfur from biogas streams at ranges of 0-2,500 ppm. This proven technology remains adept while working with sewage gases, low-pressure systems and high-pressure natural gas. An extended use occurs when a one percent maximum of air is added the system. At this point, it will assume aerobic function and improve its efficiency by 25-50 percent. The additional oxygen used up in the reaction does not carry forward in the system and in-situ regeneration is possible if you combine aerobic and anaerobic operations.
Features:
- Vessels are shorter (8 foot maximum) and wider (6 feet minimum) than comparable systems.
- Air extends operational aerobic performance.
- Spent media can be used as a soil amendment.
Advantages:
- The incorporation of catalytic iron sponge results in a lower media cost.
- Proven technology – updated version of early 20th century design.
- Shorter vessels easily fit inside spaces with height limitations.
- Suited for sewage gases, low-pressure systems and high-pressure natural gas applications.
- Leads to long-term cost savings.
- Long-lasting media.
Requirements for usage:
- The maximum amount of sulfur that can be economically treated is 2,500 ppm.
- An air pump is necessary for aerobic systems.
- Requires more of an upfront capital investment than other comparable systems.
- Soda ash tank, storage vessels and media are essential components of purchase.
- Media removal expenditures are potentially higher than other sulfur removal technologies.
- Additional holding for caustic soda is required to maintain optimum pH levels.
- Maximum operating temperature is 120°F.
- Allow 14-16 weeks for delivery.
